Dear Parents and Students:
Let's al hope that winter and the snow are OVER. Spring can't be that far off.
The recital packet will go home this month. Please take the time to read it and fully understand
all of our procedures and the responsibilities of the recital. If you do not receive a packet, or have
any questions, please ask your teacher or call me.
The costumes have all been ordered and will be here in plenty of time for the recital.
If you have not paid your balance, please do so ASAP. If you do not know your balance, please call me and I will look it up.
Scholarship exams are Sunday, March 7th here at the studio. Dress code is the same as for the syllabus exams.
The schedule has already been sent home. If you do not planning on attending the exams, please let your teacher know.
Good luck to everyone!
The summer schedule and flyer will also be going out this month. If you do not receive one, please look for them in the waiting room or
ask your teacher. We have a few new mini-intensives and numerous camps. We have been working
hard to make this schedule new and interesting for everyone. The mini-intensives will be especially
challenging with the addition of Donna Costello as a guest teacher. She is a former student who now lives
and works in New York City with various modern companies. Her teaching and performance experience make her exceptional,
and I am very excited to have her included in our summer schedule. You will be very pleased with any of our
camps, intensives, workshops and classes! Please register as soon as possible!
There are no holidays this month, but Easter falls early in April. The studio will be closed from Monday, March 29th through
Saturday, April 3rd for spring break. Classes will resume on Monday, April 5th.
A list of anyone who is eligible for a gold cup will be posted in the waiting room. If you
are not included in the list, but think you are eligible, please let me know.
The costume posters are now hanging in the waiting room downstairs. The color tights and shoes
will be posted next to your costume. Please check it out before pictures and the recital.
The competition group has their first competition this month. They are working very hard. They are planning
another DANCE DAY due to the great attendance and excitement from the last one. They will also be selling warm-ups and t-shirts
in the spring. Flyers will go home when they are ready.
Class of the Month is Tuesday 4:00-5:00 Ballet/Tap. Miss Pam and Miss Kathy are very proud of how hard they are working on their new steps. It
is nice to see their LOVE of dance. Student of the Month are Kaitlyn Majek and Allison Whitehouse. I am proud to say they are
still working hard to become the best dancers they can be. We all can see their improvement! Hard work always
pays off. Most Improved is Kim Spitzer. Miss Ellen always comments on her potential and hard work. Congratulations to all our winners.
Althought winter has us all in a tailspin, we are working very hard to make the recital
memorable. Please read all our newsletters and flyers to you are aware of all our procedures and schedules. Thank you!
Dancingly,
Miss Helen
